Children throughout the year are involved in a wide range of projects, events and activities. Examples of our residential visits can be seen in our gallery, these include Cober Hill by Year 4 and Ingleton in the Yorkshire Dales by Year 6.
Year 4 took part in a week of 'Bikeability' road safety training on their bicycles. Key Stage 1 children had a visit to Yorkshire Wikdlife Park to compliment their topic on Africa. We also have had visits by Sports Coach during PE lessons and during after school clubs. foundation stage children have enjoyed visits from petting zoos, fun days and had their own hatchery to view young chickens.
Years 3 and 4 have been working on a programme 'scratch' where through simple coding, they can create their own animation. They have thoroughly enjoyed this and have been able to continue these theme at home should they wish via an application for tablets. Examples of some of these activities can be viewed here and in our gallery. Check back regularly for updates.
After School Clubs
We run a variety of after school and lunchtime clubs starting from Key Stage 1. These include Arts, cookery, science, recorders and choir. We also have outside coaches visiting for football, hockey, drama and gymnastics. Clubs do change seasonally and all children have the opportunity to attend.
We are regularly involved in school competitions such as sporting events and Choir. We're extremely proud to have won many of these. More details are on our achievements page.
